The Journey Starts With Your Change

Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

Starting to live life healthier is hard, believe me, I know. I started on the road to healthy a little over 5 months ago, it can be bumpy and at times a lonely one. Hanging with friends at a party, seeing them eat whatever floats their way makes it very tempting to just give in to that piece of cake. With a health buddy to steer you in the right direction on hard days and to keep active with is the best. For me, this person is my boyfriend Robbie, he is actually the one who started me on this journey to a healthier life and I love him for it. Attending the gym, creating healthier dishes, and having someone who understands your struggles is a great feeling or someone to even just brag about your accomplishments with 😁.  If you’re someone considering to make that step into a healthier lifestyle especially one you have never attempted before, I recommend getting yourself a health buddy. Whether it be a friend, family member, coworker, or significant other, it really makes the journey fun and easier.

Enhancing Your Squats

All exercises are great for the body, burning fat, building muscle, keeping active, and so much more. But each exercise, as I’m sure you’re all aware of, has a different purpose for the body. Walking helps your cardiovascular system, lunges help all of the muscles in your lower extremities. And push-ups help everything in your upper extremity. There are so many other well-known exercises, and others that are not as well known that are just as great for you. I wanted to designate this post strictly to squats. During my outings to the gym, I always make sure to get in a few or strictly do them for the whole time I’m there because I love them so much. Don’t think of your regular squat, though they’re great they can become so boring very shortly. I have started first with weighted squats, you do these by take a 20-pound barbell and place it over your shoulders but hold it up slightly so not all the weight is on the back of your neck because that can cause a lot of pain. From there stand with your feet equally apart and perform squats. I have expanded them by having a leg bent behind me with the top of my foot resting on a seat behind me and then doing a squat on one leg. It can be hard at first when performing these one legged weighted squats and may even feel funny but with practice, it feels very nice on your muscles.

Our Core Value

The mission of this business is to not only promote healthy living in each individual that reads the postings but to also make each person feel connected during their journey to a healthier life.  We wish to create an atmosphere where everyone can talk together, share experiences, as well as give examples in order to help others. What’s important to this business is seeing each person’s health efforts and goal accomplishments. Our values include helping each person understand that there is no one way to achieve a specific goal, as everyone has different needs and challenges along the way. Our mission is to help a person succeed in their goal of a healthy lifestyle in any and every step of the way. We believe that no person should go about any journey alone, and we make sure of this by offering support, tips, and even guidance along the way. We are constantly trying to improve ourselves as a company, and often find ourselves asking customers about what specifically we should add or change about our services towards healthy living. With some prior input from customers, we found that people wanted more fitness routines that promote health and growth of specific body parts and muscle groups. Many people wanted technical definitions and meanings behind why, how, and what exercises work towards achieving their specific goals. With these comments in mind, we modified our online format to help meet our online guest needs. We are always looking to improve, and the only way to do so is with the support of our online blog community.
